Our Lighthouse Series designs are designed to take full advantage of a view, whether of the seaside, a river, a mountain valley or a cityscape! They have a distinctive yet traditional look on the outside, and modern open-concept living on the inside. See the Ingonish Lighthouse plans at 1643 sq. ft. if you’re interested in a smaller model.

Square footage for the LaHave is:

  • 2066 square feet total living area
  • 1st floor = 832 sq ft
  • 2nd floor = 784 sq ft
  • 3rd floor = 450 sq ft

Description

We redesigned the LaHave Lighthouse in 2021, inspired by changes in the building code for stairs.

Note the options for shorter or longer dormers as illustrated in the exterior renderings.

1st Floor

There is a central foyer with a closet. The living room is on one side, in the first floor of the tower. The kitchen with dining area is on the other side, with a walk-in pantry. Off the foyer is a powder room/laundry and the stairs to the second floor.

Second Floor

On the second floor is a master bedroom with walk-in closet and ensuite bath. Another bedroom occupies the tower, and  there is a second full bathroom opening from the upstairs hall.  There is room for a desk or hobby area next to the stairs.

Third Floor

Stairs rise to the top of the tower and a door to the balcony that goes around the tower. The rest of the third floor is a wonderful garret which could be a playroom, bedroom, studio, library, or quiet place for reflection.

    Floor plans, foundation plan, roof plan, sections, elevations, window & door schedules and construction details.
  • Timber Frame Plans
    Roof plan (plan view of roof framing), 2nd floor framing, timber elevations, timber bent drawings (sections) and timber sizings.

 

Blueprints are provided as digital files which you can print yourself at Staples or another print shop on easy-to-handle 11″ x 17″ (A3) paper.
